What is Iyengar Yoga?


If health, fitness & wellness are on your list of goals for 2018, It will be my honour to share with you how I fall in love with yoga and the benefits of a regular yet powerful practice. A practice that will sculpt your body, channel vital energy deep into the core of your heart and mind, while focussing on synchronising breath with movement, and learn the real meaning of ‘meditation in motion’.

I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and also fully qualified hatha yoga teacher

In addition to Iyengar classes, I offer a variety of intensive and workshop in flow yoga, vinyasa, restorative (yin) pranayama and meditation.

My classes provide a safe, caring, nurturing and enjoyable yoga class for all ages and levels of fitness. Classes are intimate, 10 people per class and are in a relaxed atmosphere which allows you to feel safe and move at your own pace.

Classes do start promptly so please arrive early; yoga door opens 10 minutes before class.

Please be sure to use all of the classes on your pass by the expiration date. No extensions, refunds or credits will be allowed…All passes are non-transferable…

Do something for you and reserve a mat, booking is recommended as there is limited space and equipment.


Intro Pass: $25 for unlimited practice.
Come and experience all that we have to offer over the space of one weeks for just $25. I encourage you to come as much as possible to try all of our different classes.

Iyengar Yoga

This unhurried approach allows students to learn to do each pose properly and safely by offering clear demonstration of the posture, precise use of language and specific instructions to develop students understanding about alignment and intelligent action in a practice.

Sequencing of the postures that helps students develops strength, flexibility, stamina, concentration, and correct body alignment. In order to bring this transformation, regular attendance will increase body awareness.

The use of props such as blankets, blocks, belts and chairs to deepen learning and adjust postures to individual needs.

Iyengar Beginners: The fundamental basis of Iyengar Yoga method is taught in standing poses, seating poses, twists, forward bends and shoulder-stand to build strength and balanced.

Iyengar Intermediate: Appropriate for students with a regular beginner’s Iyengar practice. Students should be prepared to start learning more challenging backbends and inversions (headstand), arm balance, backbends. Students are encouraged to have a home practice or attending 2 classes per week.

Iyengar Awaken The Core: This class focuses on teaching poses that address the abdominal muscles, tone and strengthen muscles of the spine and prevent back pain, as well as nourishes organs such as the stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas and kidneys.

Hatha Yoga: Hatha Yoga a gentle yet powerful yoga, pranayama and meditation class.

Restorative/Yin: A practice emphasizing on soft, quiet, and slow. Start with pranayama techniques, then moving through a sequence of postures for longer holding that work deeply into the connective tissue and fascia to unlock tension while drawing the mind inward to a quiet, meditative state. Restorative classes give you the space to let go of tension, and ease the effects of anxiety and work. Leave feeling calm, clear and refreshed.

Flow: This flow-style practice links the breath with a series of postures becoming a moving meditation while building heat in the body, developing strength, flexibility and stamina in the body and mind. As we learn to ride the waves of breath in our yoga practice, we also learn to ride the waves of change in our lives with more ease. Expect a full balanced class of forward bending, twists and backbends. These classes are challenging but are suitable for students of all levels.

Dynamic Yoga Class: For those busy people who are looking for an active one hour class to develop greater strength and mobility. This is a dynamic yoga classes and are not appropriate for students with significant injuries or medical conditions



Private One to One Yoga

Private class empowers and supports individuals to manage their own health and wellbeing. If you have an injury or chronic condition, private yoga is a great choice to insure you get the knowledgeable instruction you need. The best way to overcome chronic pain is to give the mind and body new, healthier responses to practice.

Be~Still Pranayama and Meditation;

Monthly Classes.


Be-Still classes are a practice of Pranayama and Meditation, the key elements and the heart of Yoga. Asana (yoga poses) are created for stability, release stiffness, aches and pain to find stillness in the body.

Pranayama is achieved through the breath and the goal of pranayama is to enrich the body with vital energy and recharge it’s batteries. The first step is to become aware of our breathing habits and once we become aware of the breath, we then need to learn how to breathe. In the process we begin to feel the freedom and relaxation with a smooth flow of inhalation and exhalation.

Be~Still is a practice to quiet the mind from constant noise through our thoughts, emotions and over thinking. Meditation is concentration and it takes practice and discipline to bring the mind and senses under control.
