PILATES IS A REFRESHING MIND-BODY WORKOUT

Pilates uses your body to its best advantage, employing your strength, and co-ordination to correct muscle imbalances, improve posture and body awareness, enhance flexibility and range of motion and increase core stability. Pilate's will elongate and strengthen your muscles, improving elasticity and joint mobility, fine-tuning your body’s strength and flexibility so that you’re less likely to sustain an injury. When you develop proper technique, your body can be re-trained to move in safer, more efficient patterns of motion, bringing you good posture and optimal health. The quality of your movement is more highly valued over the quantity of repetitions in Pilates. Pilates is ideal for people who have injuries, weak muscles and bad posture because it encourages the strengthening of problem areas in a relaxed and low impact manner. Anyone who has serious injuries should consult their doctor or physiotherapist before undertaking Pilates Classes. Likewise, pregnant women should receive clearance from their doctor before taking up Pilates.
