What is Satyanada Yoga?

Satyanada Yoga is a system of Yoga that looks to bring together all areas of the body. It is often referred to as the Yoga of the Heart, Head and Hands. The heart represents compassion, the head represents intellect and the hands represent action.

It is traditional form of Yoga that has been modified to meet the demands of modern lifestyle and can be customised to meet an individual’s unique requirements. It uses a systematic approach to bring together all aspects of being. This type of Yoga can be practiced by anyone, regardless of their background, as it does not propose any religious or political beliefs.


What does Yoga do?

This style of Yoga incorporates awareness of all the aspects of being – emotional, physical and spiritual – in order to create a true alignment. As well as awareness, mental stress and disease can be relieved through the development and the improvement of the body’s healing powers. Yoga is able to calm the mind and it stabilises the mind also in order to bring perspective and vision to a person, giving them freedom, peace and inner stability.

Postures or asanas are utilised to balance the mind and the body, breathing or pranayama to work on the mental/energy body, and relaxation/meditation to calm and concentrate the mind. It is safe, gentle and there is no sense of competition… you simply work along at the pace that suits you.

Tuesday:
10:00-11:30am

Wednesday:
6:30-8pm

Thursday:
10:00-11:30am

These classes are suitable for most levels of experience including beginners. Easy & harder modifications are provided when necessary & the amount of repetitions or how long you hold a pose is entirely up to you….you are here for your own experience.

All classes are balanced & include – Pranayama (breathing practices), Asanas (stretches) & Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation). You will leave feeling happy, relaxed & re-energised…. Some almost float out the door!


Private Sessions/Personal Programs

These specifically designed sessions can help the following individuals:

  • A beginner who wants a one on one before starting a class

  • For those wanting a daily practise tailored to suit them personally

  • For those with an injury or special need
