Strengthen your Natural Immunity through regular Yoga practice. Yoga stimulates the bodies natural mechanisms healing ability through yogic breathing (pranayama) combined with postures (asanas). Mindfulness improves the cognitive paths from the brain into the body. Yoga is a science proven to assist you in a happier healthy life . I recommend practicing yoga at least twice a week from a qualified teacher.
Ask for a program suitable for you to practice at home for about 20minutes daily. Practing yoga regularly will change your genetic makeup for the better you. Are you ready to make change?
I have been teaching for over 25 years and attract a wide range of people. From children to late 80 years young some mid 90’s.
I teach a variety of classes being in a growing tow. Running classes for home schooling parents and children in a county town is extremely rewarding for all the family. Promoting health, calmness and respect for the family bond.
Most people carry injuries. Injuries can be supported with the use of props (belt, block, chair, bench etc) this enables the student to explore the posture with confidence.
Props can also be used in restorative classes to support the whole body, enables the body to totally relax whilst you focus on breathing.
Yoga Moon Margaret River
As a young child growing up in nature on the ‘Swan River’ one day, unaware, I was being observed. Approaching me was a person in floating orange robes. A ‘Swami’ sits close by, softly speaks, explaining, I was intuitively practising ‘Hatha Yoga’. I found the Beaconsfield Yoga School close to home and began ‘Hatha Yoga’.
Many years later after travelling around Australia attending as many yoga class I could find, I needed to learn more. Once back home in Margaret River I’d drive to Fremantle regularly (340km) to participate as a student in Iyengar Teacher Training. In 1991, I started Iyengar Teacher Training with John Leebold in Fremantle, Shane Moody (RIP) in Margaret River & The Honourable Iyengar Family at their Iyengar Yoga School in Puna, India.
To gain certification in Teacher Training I endeavoured to the Purna Yoga Teacher Training School in Byron Bay, achieving Certificates I, II & IV in Purna Yoga.
Being a Massage therapist I really loved studying anatomy and physiology. Studying to be a nurse, however I found myself wanting to teaching yoga. The knowledge of the body is paramount to be a successful Yoga teacher .
