Course Description

COTY's 12 month 10137NAT Certificate IV in Remedial Yoga Teaching course is one of Australia’s highest industry recognised qualifications in yoga teaching.

This course is designed to develop your personal understanding of yogic physiology, remedial postures and asanas. This knowledge is extended with practical training in the skills required to teach Japanese meridian yoga to a group.

The 10137NAT Certificate IV in Remedial Yoga Teaching qualification is registered with Yoga Australia and is an ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority) Nationally Accredited Course and Training Program. This ensures students receive the highest level of professional training and education to successfully work in the health care and fitness industry.

This course includes a high level of face-to-face learning and supervised teaching experience, all in an established yoga studio and health care centre. This gives students guided training in the most important aspects of teaching and meeting client’s needs. Including injury recovery, physical restrictions, pregnancy, development and age restricted requirements.

The first thing we ask of you in this course is to make yourself well—this is not a gauge on how fit you are, it is about how well and balanced you are. Once you can identify your own health and wellbeing you will better understand others and their needs.

You will study Japanese Remedial Yoga with an emphasis on your own practice and be introduced to our diagnostic style of teaching techniques that will allow you to work with a wide range of clients. Learn how to teach to individuals in a group setting, ensuring the yoga is appropriate to the season, time of day and the people you are teaching it to.

10137NAT Certificate IV in Remedial Yoga Teaching is delivered over a 12-month period, 37 sessions with breaks for holidays scheduled between each NSW School term. During the term students, are required to attend learning sessions and teaching practicums one full day per week (either Friday or Saturday study programs).
