Our Areas of Expertise
- Jaw joint problems
We are leaders in the physical treatment of jaw joint problems (TMD). With over 18 years of experience, we have developed new techniques which assess and treat very effectively clicking, popping stiff and painful joints. We also teach physiotherapists nationally how to assess and treat problematic jaw joints. Our focus is pinpointing the problematic structures and then doing something about them using manual techniques.
- Sports injuries
With experience at 3 Commonwealth Games, 2 world weightlifting championships and the Sydney Olympics, all kinds of sporting injuries are treated by our sports physiotherapists, including joint, muscular, ligament & tendon sprains and strains.
We have extensive expertise in hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow, wrist & finger joint sprains & common muscular strains, including hamstring, calf & thighs.
- Spinal problems
Spinal injuries occur for any number of reasons. Typically these are muscular strains and with careful and specific analysis the strained muscles can be identified and treated appropriately. Generally speaking early treatment to these structures alleviates the discomfort and stiffness quickly. Exercises given to alleviate the stiffness and pain are given early in the course of treatment so that patients can take control of low back pain and recovery.
