Throughout his 30 years as a general psychologist with 12 years in private practice, Anthony has successfully helped countless adults and young people across a wide range of ages. 

He is especially interested in helping those at transition points in their lives such as:

Since the 1990s, Anthony has employed evidence-based treatments, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and its variants. 

Specifically, CBT focuses on regulating emotional distress and dysfunctional behaviour by identifying and changing errors or distortions in thought processes and beliefs, and by supporting the acquisition of new skills outside of therapy sessions. 

Through its evolution, CBT has become a term that encompasses a range of approaches. Anthony uses several techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, and Metacognitive Therapy.   

For the past five years, however, he has sought to improve and extend his practice by finding gentle, effective, and safe ways to work with thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. 

As evidence-based practices grow in popularity, they can create deeper, more embodied, and long-lasting changes. As a result, it places a high value on emotion not just as a target, but also as a vehicle of change hence, Emotion-Focused Therapy.
