Optimal health in today's fast paced, high stress, toxic environment may seem unattainable. However, when broken down to the basics, its easy to see that this is not complicated:
Your body is incredibly clever and complex, always striving to survive and be healthy. Even in, what can seem like a hopeless situation, the innate desire and ability to recover is truly remarkable, given the right environment.
I am a Certified Health Coach and have worked in the health field my entire career, starting in the UK where I was raised, then in Australia where I have lived for over 20 years. As far back as I can remember I have had an interest in wellness. I think it came from my mother who instilled a love of eating real, wholesome food. What a gift to give a child!
As a young adult I continued my education to minimise the risk of illness and maximise my chances of enjoying optimal health. As I learned more, this became a burning passion which I felt compelled to share. Gaining a Health Coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition has equipped me with the essential skills to formally teach clients. I continued my education with the School of Applied Functional Medicine. My learning then accelerated beyond anything I could imagine. I have learned how everything is interconnected, mind, body, soul, thoughts, nutrition, environment, feelings, and almost all disease begins in the gut. This has provided invaluable education on how to piece together and help clients to find rapid relief from their symptoms. Even more importantly to dig deep to identify, and then eliminate the root causes.
To feel empowered over your own health is invaluable and so achievable. What could possibly be more important?
I work one on one with clients. Sessions take 55 minutes and are scheduled every 2 weeks, booked in advance on the same day and time. This will remain your personal time slot however long you wish to keep it. Sessions are conducted online with webcam or phone if you prefer.
An initial consultation takes 2 hours. We will work through your history, using a pre filled form you submit in advance along with any test results if you have any available. I will then piece together the interconnectedness of your symptoms, and devise an individualised plan for you to work on. I will summarise this in a follow up email to enable you to get started immediately. Targeted lab work will be discussed and the benefit of this explained. Of course budgets are an important consideration, therefore testing is never obligatory.
Another consideration is the use of high quality targeted supplements. The benefit of using these relating to your individual situation will be explained for your consideration. again they are never obligatory. I will always prioritise obtaining nutrients from food or other natural means wherever possible - such as Vitamin D from the sun or omega 3 oil from freshly ground flax seed.
