All Families is a government approved Mediation Service Provider with the Western Australian Family Court and the Attorney Generals Department.
Many families now understand that going to counselling is nothing to be ashamed of and often complain that they wished they had done it sooner. Our ethics constrain us to always look for solutions to family break-ups. However, we understand that sometimes a separation or divorce is inevitable and someone needs to be there to mediate an equal outcome for all family members, especially the children.
Since July 2007 the Federal government has made it compulsory for all matters relating to families to be first brought before an approved Mediation provider for resolution. The new legislation requires that the disputing parties negotiate out of court in an effort to reduce the clogging of the Family Court system. This is really good news for Australian families. You don’t have to pay hefty lawyers fees or even go to court anymore.
Pre & Post Marital / Relationship Counselling
Australia is among the highest divorce rates in the world and it is on the increase. Many couples are now wishing they had just a few simple tips to avoid the hurt and pain of separation and divorce. We provide some simple yet effective strategies for the common problems that pop up in the early marriage stages. We also provide ongoing Post-Marital Counselling or even small checkups for those couples who want to hash out difficult issues before they become too big to handle.
It is important to note that the Government has now made it compulsory to have a number of hours pre-marital counselling before a marriage application can be made. Defacto couples and extended family members are all welcome to our clinic where we will deal thoroughly with each case. We also operate an after hours emergency home service. Sometimes events can escalate and it’s nice to know that you can call someone who can come and steady a situation that may get out of hand.
Child Abuse/Adolescent problems
Other problems can surface in families that are unexpected or just develop without detection over time. Such things like conflict between parents and their children or child abuse will be helped greatly if there is a counsellor or mediator who can sit down with the family and work through the issues. Most problems come from when parents do not understand that children need discipline and need to be active partakers in the family routine. Remember Super Nanny? Setting guidelines and having clear family rules is an indicator of a healthy family. All Families will guide you through the necessary changes needed for your family to be strong and well.
Grief, Trauma, Embracing Anger & Depression
At All Families we help those who have experienced the death of a loved one or where a family may not be coping from an emotional loss. We offer a caring environment and work with our clients through the pain that often overwhelms those who experience these life changing tragedies. At some stage everyone will experience a trauma or two in their lives. It is how we deal with these occasions at the time they happen that predetermines our crucial life directions. We are experienced to pick up on the different levels of trauma and provide the appropriate guidance for individuals or group cases.
Anger and Depression are two other areas that we also specialise in helping clients with. Contrary to popular beliefs or drug therapy, we actually get our clients to embrace their anger and depression. These are your body’s reactions to stress and not something to be gotten rid of or masked. We lead our clients to discover the reasons behind difficult feelings and guide them into making the changes necessary to gain control of a normal life again.

Workplace Agreements / Employment Conflict
Since the Government’s introduction of Workplace Agreements, many will need the services of a professional who knows their way around Workplace Agreements. We provide on site negotiation and construction of Workplace Agreements between employers and their employees. Neighbourhood disputes
Every one at some stage has either heard of or been involved in a neighbourhood dispute. These can last many years and negatively affect the health of the disputing parties in a serious way. We specialise in getting disputing parties to come to amicable agreements where all can move on and spend their energies on more productive and important things in life.
Drug, Alcohol & Smoking (Quit program)
One of the things you can be guaranteed of at All Families is a thorough and full understanding of the problems and issues surrounding drug and alcohol abuse. Our counsellor Danny will sometimes tell you of a past life as a young man when he himself struggled with the rigours of a lifestyle of drug and alcohol abuse. Today he is a different man and fully recovered from what he calls a “wild youth”. In fact, this is what motivated Danny in 1989 after a complete recovery and marriage to Carmel his wife to pursue a Degree that would somehow enable him to help others reach their potential and break free from addictive behaviours. You will understand more fully why drug and alcohol dependency happens and the steps needed to break abusive and related habits. We also run the renowned “Quit” Program for those who wish to give up smoking.
Clients need to know that All Families does not condone the abuse of drugs whether prescribed by a doctor or illegal. We are very strong on the idea that drugs are over prescribed and even psychological conditions are over stated. We do not offer bandaid solutions and feel that drugs are only a very last resort. We believe that for most conditions there is a reversible prognosis if it can be discovered what caused the condition and by implementing specific changes to an individual’s environment.
QUALIFICATION DETAILS
Danny Bell our resident professional was born in the South region and understands the culture of the area. Danny is fully qualified with many years experience of working with families in a variety of situations. He has a BA degree in the Social Sciences and has worked as Clergyman in two states of Australia. Following that he worked with the Education Department of Western Australia dealing with children at risk in our educational system. Adding to this he is also a fully trained and registered professional Mediator which qualifies him to mediate legally in Australia.
